I was out putting up signs today getting ready for the season to start and we do have a little snow up on the top.  No snow at the parking areas of wells road, Mosher Rd, or Spruce Mt Road, but at the top of Spruce Mt where the trail heads into the woods theres a good 4-5 inches of hard icey snow.  It's goingto make a nice base for when we open the trails.

Remember, Trails do not open until December 15th (snow permitting).

We'll be having a big signing work party on Sunday the 14th for anyone who wants to help out.  Just send an email to Bob Simonik or give him a call.

The gates are open and the trails are ridable but there's still a lot of mud and some exposed rocks.  I'd say about 8-10 inches of hard snow at the highest elevations and 6 or so down low.

I'd recommend everyone stays home for another week or so and let things freeze up some more.  The trails are very rutted from hunters' trucks so we'll try and get out with the groomers this week and flatten it all out while it's soft (at least on ormsbee and spruce mt roads).  The woods trails need a lot more snow and cold to freeze up the large mudholes.
