Big game rifle hunting season is done on the 15th and we have clearance from DEC that allows us to get some trail work done. The first thing on my list is the bypass trail for Spruce Mountain. I have it all flagged and approved by DEC, we just need to go in and clean it up. There are blow downs, brush and stumps that need to be cut along with some water diversion. I am thinking we can get the majority of it done in one day and some finishing touches like signing the next day. My plan is to start early on Saturday the 17th and get as much done as we can. It is not a long section and it can be walked but we will use ATV's for our gear. Some stuff we will take in with us will be Chainsaws, brush saw, loppers, shovels and pick axes. If you want to help, plan on meeting at the Spruce Mtn Entrance at 9:00am.
