Rode the trails today.  There is a TON of snow on the trails now.  It snowed all day on the mountain, though the radar is showing that it might have changed over this evening.  Pulled up to the bottom of Spruce Mt Rd at 9am and it was pouring.  Thought i might have a very short ride.  Not even half way up the spruce mt dead end (8A) it changed to snow.  All the rest of the trails were all snow exept the Ct Rt 10 dead end and wells road dead end as they drop down in elevation.  Still plenty of snow on them though.

Lake Desolation is in good shape with the exception of the parking area on the lake across from Tinney's.  Looks like it was plowed off and in doing so the slush came up.  There's a slush spot that is very deep.  You are best off going around and over the snow back near the shore.  Head on over and spend some money at Tinney's.  The low snow has hurt them badly.

All the trails are groomed or packed.  the main C8 trail from sacandaga intersection to the Ormsbee T at the kiosk wasn't groomed yet but had been packed and was pretty wide.  Just watch out for low hanging branches from the heavy snow.  Also watch out for limbs in the trail.  Please stop and remove them instead of riding around them, it will make everyones life easier, especially the groomers.

Burnt Mill Vly trail (s86) had a tree down that makes it impossible to get around.  Unless you see fresh groomer tracks, assume its still there.  Use the Towers (S87) trail to get from one side of the mountain to the other.

The new C8A trail to lake desolation is in great shape now.  It's amazing what a little snow will hide.

We threw a track on one of the groomers last night so hopefully it will be up and running again by tomorrow but we're a little shorthanded right now.

Be safe, come on out and ride.
