In our ongoing attempts to make Mulleyville the best snowmobile club in NY we want to hear from you.  What can we do better? What is important to you in a club?  Do we need to do more non-snowmobile related things?  Charity?

Throw out any and all ideas for future growth, publicity, increasing membership, and raising money.  This is your chance to influence the club's direction even if you can't get involved.

Just my 2 pennies on this one,  after a few years at it and  riding the local systems  There would be a couple of things that come to the top of the list,  First is better co-op from the area towns to open the system up better to the other systems,  I realize that it is a complicated thing to say properly but why not…..  The mountian is excellent riding – but it is sort of snowbound, it would be helpful if the town of Corinth would take more interest in tying in to the Mulleyville trails ( at least 1 person that I know was questioned in the matter  by the town board but I think the issue died off for some reason).  The current most direct connection is the Sacandaga club, I am also with the understanding that the Galaway System ties in at Tinney's however I have not been down that way to check them out.  I also wish to point out that there are quite a few "side trails" that aren't on the map save for a dotted line on a couple of them. People break them and some people ride them once in a while but they are not considered part of the system therefore they are not on the map or groomed ever. If some of them were opened as routes this would increase the riding miles on the system greatly.

The other big thing to me and others is Gas……..    tying a trail System to a gas station is important…… need I say more?   more miles of registered traills within the area that you already have and a place to fuel up are just the top things in my eyes,

Kudo's to the team for giving us all a great and well maintianed system again this year !!!

I would have to agree with redbird1. I have also been riding the Mulleyville system for two years and recently purchased a home within a mile of the Spruce mt entrance, so I try and hit the trails at least 3-4 times a week. It would be great to expand the number trails or update the trail map to show the additional / unknown spurs that the club does not groom. I am sure there are political and enviromental steps that need to be taken to expand our trail system which might take some time. But from looking at the map there seems to be a lot of acreage for expansion. I think the club did an excellent job this year by adding trail signs and trail maps. This helps out a lot, for us newbees. I think we still need to add more "curve ahead signs", and signs of that nature to the trails. As for access to fuel, I am assuming this will come if we can expand the trail system. It would be great if somehow we could tie into the South Warren system, I realize there are some major "water hazards" for us to cross to get to that point.

On another note for trail maintenance, is there ATV access around the spruce mountain entrance? If I can swing the purchase of an ATV this year, I would like to help out.

Thanks again to the guys on the groomers

I used to ride your trails on a semi regular basis. I know a lot of others did too. We could get to them from Wilton.  It has been closed off for years now and I don't think there is a legal way to do it.

I hear the Lincoln Mtn/Gansevoort Club merged. I think working with them to make a connecting trail would help both clubs. It would give your members gas, at Ballard Rd Stewarts. It would also get riders from the more populated Wilton and Moreauon to your trails. I am sure McGregor Pub or the Wilton Fire House would allow parking.  This might actually attract riders who normally head to Warren County. More riders equals more members ( in both clubs). You could also get Stewarts to have the gas program like they have in Warren County. The clubs in Warren County seem to work together. They also have local government involved.

Finally I thank and commend all who help run your club. I am sure it is a lot of work and time. I am sure there are many people like me who can not (or don't want to) participate at your level. I would however be willing help out if I knew what I could do. I know I could give a 1/2 day or a day. I am sure you would welcome 10 extra volunteers one day a year.  Maybe part of the web site could promote participation and could tell us what is needed. A planner listing when volunteers are needed. It could list what is needed such as donations of hamburgers or hot dogs for you recent event (I missed it and wish I hadn't).

I hope this was helpful, good job.

It woud be great to see the Lincoln Mtn. Mulleyville connection made. Its already there via the rr tracks if they could be maintained. Also I will agree with other posters gas is a must.

I think a lot of people think the Mulleyville trail system is part of the Sacandaga Snowmobile Club. I made that mistake last season. We all need to spread the word to friends about the Mulleyville club if an increase in members is needed. I have been. A lot of your summer boating friends also have sleds. Last season was my first using the trails. I was surprised how good they are! It sure cuts a lot of travel time to go riding. I would like to see a thread, link or whatever for good places to park to access the system. letitsnow

90 Velocity . click on our trail map . it shows parking areas . wells rd  can handle the most trucks/ trailers both in the lot and along the shoulder .  spruce mt rd will handle a few as will co rt 10 . those 3 are easy to get to off of 9N . D.E.C. is planning a new lot  on fox hill to eliminate the need to park on the shoulder   , but you know the state …….

IF YOU CARRY IT IN , CARRY IT OUT !

ConfusedAs a member of the mulleyville snowmobile club, I  do not always have time to make it every mtg or to talk to members  that ride  often and rely on the information that I get from the official mulleyville web site. There has not been a groomer report posted since the 08 09 season! I DO NOT CHASE THE GROOMER, but do believe that the members of this club deserve to know what the groomer schedule is after all it is their money that pays for the grooming services either through membership or reg fees and just because they may not have the time to volounteer time as much as others doesn,t mean they shouldn't know whats going on.All of the other clubs that have web sites that I visit post what their groomers are doing and don't seem to have any major problems with "groomer chasers".This is a club of over 4 hundred members, Let us know whats going on. It would be nice to see the agendas and mins posted of the mtgs although I would be embarrassed to see the mins posted from the last mtg.
