The hardest part of my role as Mulleyville's Trail Coordinator has been the "coordinator" end . Most of the trail work this year has been handled by 3 people who also have other duties in this club . The groomers also have had to devote time to clearing their own passage at times . I'd like to improve upon this for next year . And along that line , I'd like to free up the groomers for what they do best.
If you're interested in summer trail work , contact me . Mostly ,we need to manage some wet areas differently and reduce under growth , branches etc. You will need your own atv . We have or can get most hand tools . F.y.i. "work parties" in the past have been difficult to organize and manage efficiently. Most often it's been 2 or 3 of us that were able to get out at the same time. I understand about schedules and commitments , but if i can get 2 or 3 guys i can count on , it will at least double what we're doing right now. Simply stated , we need to have everthing done prior to the start of hunting season , so that we only have to concentrate on weather related issues durring the 09 – 10 sled season . While i'm at it if anyone has any leftover drainage pipe or other items you think the club could use , please let me know. See you on "the Mountain" , and watch out for the old guy with the clippers . Bob .
