*** Stolen Map Sign ***

Dear Mulleyville Snowmobile Club Members,

We have been enjoying a great start to our season with great snow and riders from all over using our trails.  We’ve made a concentrated effort on improving our signing, including putting up large, aluminum-backed maps at many locations on our trails.

Unfortunately, someone thought that one of the maps was free for the taking.  Our map on the pole at the County Route 10 / Moser Rd parking lot has gone missing.  These maps cost the club a lot of money and we put them up for the safety and security of our snowmobilers.  Our trails can be confusing and these maps are very important for keeping people on track.

If you took it, or know someone with a 3 foot by 2 foot aluminum backed Mulleyville map (these have not been available to anyone), please return the map to the pole no questions asked or let us know by replying to this email.

If you are interested in a poster sized map on laminated cardboard just like the aluminum ones (same size and graphics) they are available to purchase in our online Club Gear Store (http://mulleyvilletrailsystem.com/club-gear/ ) at our cost of $30.  You can also pick up t-shirts, sweatshirts, mock turtle necks, hats, coffee mugs, and can coolies there.

In other news, we’ve finished our intersection signing and want to hear your feedback.  If there are areas where you have trouble navigating the trails or see majors hazards please let us know.  We value any and all feedback that you can provide.  Either join our discussion forum (http://mulleyvilletrailsystem.com/forum/) and post there or send me us an email at info@mulleyvilletrailsystem.com

Thank you and enjoy the trails,
The Mulleyville Team

Trails Open! A few things to remember…

A few things to point out and remember while riding.

1) DEC / Park Police have explicitly notified the club that they will be out strong this year patroling our trails. Please make sure you have your registration and Insurance up to date. It’s likely that they will be patroling Fox Hill Road as that has been an area of some complaints.

2) Fox hill road is a ROAD. When riding you MUST obey all traffic laws. Stay on the right side of the road. Ride Single file, The speed limit is 25 MPH. Do not ride in the middle of the road. USE COMMON SENSE! The Town is watching and if we can’t follow those rules we’ll lose the road.

3) There are a few beaver dams on the trails this year. They are pretty well frozen up but be very careful crossing the ice.

4) The trails will still have a lot of water on them as it’s early in the year. Use caution as you never know when a mudhole will pop up and get you.

Have Fun, Ride Right, Watch out for and Yield to the Groomers, and BE SAFE!

Thanks
The Mulleyville Trail Team

Membership updates

To date we have lass then 1/2 the joined members as last year. If you are planning on joining up again this year, please consider doing it now. This will help the club plan for it’s grooming schedule and budget better to know what our membership will be.

Also if you’ve not supplied the club with an email address please consider doing so. All of our communication with the club members will be done via the website and email. Just send an email with your membership name to webmaster@mulleyvilletrailsystem.com .

Spruce Mountian Fire Tower Restoration

An article appeared on Sunday, November 9th in the Schenectady Gazette about restoration efforts by several groups of the Fire Tower.  This is a good project for our club to get involved with as well.  The benefits to us are numerous.  First, we can help with a community project that will help bring attention to our club.  Also, we have many riders that would enjoy being able to take in the view from the top.  It is truely spectacular.  Unfortunately it’s no longer safe to climb.  Finally, by becoming involved in the project we can help ensure our access rights.
