Trails OPEN! . . . but,
As of Sunday Night (12/13) at sundown the trails are open with between 12 and 18 inches of snow depending on elevation.Â
BUT…be very careful on the trails as the water holes and streams are mostly wide open still. There are several really deep ones that you don’t want to fall into. The rocks are not all covered and the beaver ponds are NOT frozen. The main loop from Ormsbee to Davignon road via C8 is your best bet. The S87 from Ormsbee over to spruce is probably the best way to get from one side to the other as there is a beaver pond on S86.
We have a groomer out tonight packing and stuffing the water holes with snow but we are NOT grooming the trail. The drags are not attached so again be careful.

Work Party 10/4 at 9am
We’ll be holding our final work party of the year this Sunday, 10/4 at 9am. We plan to meet at the bottom of Ormsbee Road (in the parking area) and then hit S84 and S83. These trails have been logged over the past few years and need some attention to get them ready to open this winter.
As always, if you can make it please send myself or Bob Simonik an email so we know who’s coming. We mostly need people to help chuck brush after the chainsaw crew cuts it.
Thanks,
Steve

We also plan to have our final work party of the year Next weekend, October 3 and 4. We will be hitting the S83 / S84 trails that weekend. Please plan on joining us.
Thanks

Work Party, Sunday 9/20
We had a successful work party last weekend getting the entire Spruce Mt side of the system brushed and cleaned up.  Thanks to everyone who attended.
The next work party will be this Sunday, September 20th. We will be meetings at the Spruce Mt Road Gate at 8 am. We’ll head across C8, S87, and S86 towards Ormsbee Rd.Â
Plan on brushing and some hand trenching. Bring hand clippers if you have them and a good pair of gloves (or two if you like them dry). If we get a big group we can finish up the two Alpine Meadows trails (C8 and S87), and the S86 Trail.
If you can make it please send either Bob Simonik or myself and email.
