2008-2009 Trail Reports Archive
Thursday 3/12
Rode every inch of the system today and the snow conditions are good in 95% and spring like in the other 5%. Unfortunately the trails are very bumpy. Some are good but most are not. If you need to scratch the itch one more time then the trails are fine but if you want to enjoy a nice smooth ride it’s not going to happen. I’m done for the year because i’m headed out of town. Over 2000 miles for me this year and 80% were Mulleyville miles

Grooming Done for the Season
We’ve stopped our grooming operations for the year. However, there is still snow on the mountain and the trails should be ridable one more weekend. I’ll give a first hand report Wednesday or Thursday night on the conditions but expect mudholes and creeks to be open and corners to be icey or bare. The main roads should be great for a few more weeks. We’ll post when the trails get fully closed but we aren’t there yet.

Monday 3/9 – Still open but going away fast
Trails are still open but we are losing them fast. Mudholes are open but passable and the corners are icey or down to dirt. Still a good base in most places but you need to get it while you can.
I didn’t ride this weekend but here’s a report i got from someone who did:
“I rode Sat & Sun. Trails were good Sat, breaking down Sun. The rain hurt us. There’s still 2-3′ on snow in the woods, but the trails are wearing down. If we get cold weather, we might get another 1-2wks in, but the forecast isn’t looking good. We pretty much assumed Sun was it for the season…”

Trail Stop a Hit
After a little worrying on my part about the rain keeping people away the events came off as a huge success. We were so busy that we ran out of Burgers by 3pm and dogs by 4pm. Sold a bunch of merchandise and had a great time by all.
Bonfire was fairly short due to a few pyros that were overzealous on the pallets
but it was still great fun and everyone was cleared out by 10pm.
The trails were in phenomenal shape in the morning. Super hard and fast. by the afternoon everything was chewed into fine sugar snow and a few moguls showed up but they were still sweet.
Thanks to all who came out!

A Beautiful Day for Riding
After the rain is gone we’re left with very flat, hard trails. The temperatures will be high enough that the trails will soften up nicely for lube and cooling so no need to worry about that.
Come on out and enjoy the trails and support the club at our trail stop today and stick around for the bonfire this evening. See you there!
