We have reopened a portion of C-8 , coming in from Sacandaga .From there you will be able to access S-82 which takes you out towards Black Pond / Hunt Lake . You will also be able to access S-86 which runs the backside of Burnt Mill Vly and into the direction of the fire tower . Where all of these trails come together , you will notice almost bare conditions as this area was heavily worked by the loggers. We simply need snow to cover this area of junctions . All these trails have been groomed and becuase they haven’t had any traffic this winter they are the best on the system (other than the plowed areas).

C8 (Ormsbee Road) remains closed for its entrie length from the Burnt Mill Junction (SR06S / S86 trail) to the paved part. There is caution tape and snow fence to keep you out.

SPECIAL NOTE to those attending the yearly daytona party being held at the camp on Burnt Mill Vly sunday . The easiest entry to camp is from the sacandaga junction , not the Burnt Mill Trail . For sunday only you are being allowed to run that small section of the haul road to the camp . Logging is still going on just up the road from camp . Party sounds like it will be a good one with a 42 flat screen up for grabs. Everyone ride safe and use some discretion when approaching this work zone .
