2/2/09 – The Best EVER!
What a difference a month and some realllllly cold weather makes. Just going back and looking at our posts makes me remember how far we’ve come in just 6 weeks.
The Mulleyville trails are the best they have EVER been right now. The typically muddy and rocky trails are 100% snow covered and flat. ALL mudholes are 100% frozen now and completely filled in. The C8/S87 alpine meadows trails that we waited until mid-month to open are now 100% mint condition and no signs of mud or bumps.Â
The snow we got last Wednesday filled in the last of the skanky parts but is loose and won’t pack so we went from incredibly set up trails that couldn’t get bumpy with some open holes to no holes but quickly bumpy conditions. We could actually go for some 40 degree temps or a little rain right now to firm everything back up but I’m not going to complain.Â
Almost all of our signing issues are resolved, we’ve put up large maps on the trails to try and help those unfamiliar with the trails not get lost and our Kiosks and banners have been a huge success (other than one of our maps getting stolen)
Thanks to everyone who’s contributed this year and everyone who’s been riding safely. If you’re not a member of the club, please consider getting a secondary membership. It’s only $20 since you’ve already paid your $5 to NYSSA on the primary and the cash helps keep the groomers going. You can also donate using paypal right from our website. It takes less than 2 minutes.
Thanks again!
Steve
