Land Acquisition

Dear Mulleyville Snowmobile Club Members,

The Board Members of the Mulleyville Snowmobile Club are moving forward with a plan to acquire land that will allow us to put up an indoor storage facility for our grooming equipment.  We have spent a lot of money over the years repairing groomer breakdowns directly related to them being stored outside year round.

This plan will be completed in threee phases:

  1. Identify and purchase a plot of land that is centrally located on our trail system and easily accessible in the winter via car or truck.
  2. Clear the land for a heated pole barn to be constructed with voluteer labor.
  3. Further Develop the land to possibly include a large capacity parking lot, club house, self-serve gas, and meeting / entertainment facilities.

Today we are able to announce that we have entered into contract to complete stage 1.  More details will be released once the purchase is completed, but we are beginning our fundraising efforts now.  We have a financial plan in place that will allow completion of stages 1 and 2 using our traditional sources of income (club membership dues and NYS grants) but we feel that we should seek additional voluntary donations from outside sources.

We are reviewing ideas for recognition of donations and if you have any ideas please let me know via email.

If you would like to make a donation to our dedicated “Barn Fund” you can mail us a check or use the donation button on the side of this page to use paypal or a credit card.  If you have special skills that you would like to donate (excavation, concrete, surveying, building, HVAC, Electrical, etc) we would be glad to use your help.  Every bit counts and everyone making a donation will be recognized in some manner yet to be determined.

If you have any questions or want to get more involved please send me an email.

Best Regards,

Steve Archer

Mud Locks are on

Gates are all closed with the mud locks.

See you next year for an even better year!

Grooming Done for the Season

We’ve stopped our grooming operations for the year. However, there is still snow on the mountain and the trails should be ridable one more weekend. I’ll give a first hand report Wednesday or Thursday night on the conditions but expect mudholes and creeks to be open and corners to be icey or bare. The main roads should be great for a few more weeks. We’ll post when the trails get fully closed but we aren’t there yet.

Trail Stop a Hit

After a little worrying on my part about the rain keeping people away the events came off as a huge success. We were so busy that we ran out of Burgers by 3pm and dogs by 4pm.  Sold a bunch of merchandise and had a great time by all.

Bonfire was fairly short due to a few pyros that were overzealous on the pallets ;) but it was still great fun and everyone was cleared out by 10pm.

The trails were in phenomenal shape in the morning. Super hard and fast. by the afternoon everything was chewed into fine sugar snow and a few moguls showed up but they were still sweet.

Thanks to all who came out!
